On-site forensic building inspection with Protimeter moisture mapping, FLIR thermal imaging, and clinical Root Cause Analysis. Comprehensive defect report identifying physical causes, HHSRS risk classification, and prescribed remediation to British Standards.
Starting fee covers standard residential single-defect inspections. Properties exceeding 120 sqm, pre-1900 solid-wall construction, multiple concurrent defect types, or extended site investigation time are confirmed in the written proposal.

Travel is included unless exceptional travel requirements are identified; any additional charge will be quoted and agreed in writing before instruction.

Standard inspections do not require a routine deposit. For complex or high-volume instructions, any deposit or staged payment arrangement will be agreed in writing before work begins.
The written fee proposal confirms payment stages and when payment is due before you instruct us. Published starting fees include VAT at 20%. Individually quoted work is confirmed in writing with VAT shown. Reports are submitted within 5–7 working days after the inspection is completed and the information required for the report has been received. No payment is taken online; each investigation proceeds under an agreed written brief and formal terms of engagement.
Building Pathology Diagnostics provides technical building pathology evidence and forensic diagnostic opinions. We do not provide legal advice. On insurance matters we investigate the building, not the claim itself, and we are independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the Financial Ombudsman Service. CPR Part 35 expert witness reports are a separate instruction. The agreed scope identifies the issues, applicable procedural requirements and reporting timetable. The expert's duty is to the court; permission to rely on expert evidence is a matter for the court. For legal strategy on housing disrepair claims, instruct a qualified solicitor. All fees are subject to scope confirmation; published starting fees include VAT and individually quoted fees are confirmed in writing with VAT shown. Terms of engagement are issued upon instruction.
